If you notice late, operations stop
Even when scheduled posts and AI drafts save effort, there are moments that can't move forward until a person decides. Approving a draft, re-posting something that failed, checking and sending a reply. When the person in charge also has other work, they may not get in the habit of opening the admin screen every day, and approvals pile up until the posting time passes.
But if an email arrives for every little thing, notifications themselves stop getting read. If you get one email per daily draft, the one important message gets buried in your inbox. SNS TOWN notifications are built to sit between the two. We only notify you about events that need a person, and the recipient decides how they are delivered.
Five events we notify you about
Notifications cover the following five events. All are limited to things you would be in trouble for missing.
| Event | When it happens |
|---|---|
| A draft is awaiting approval | When an AI-written draft is lined up under Awaiting approval |
| A post failed or stopped for lack of credits | When a post couldn't go out because of the social network, or stopped because credits ran short |
| Credits are running low | When your credit balance falls below the value set for the company (at most once a day) |
| A reply is awaiting approval | When an auto reply is waiting for a person to check it |
| Campaign winners are decided | When a lottery or instant win ends and winners are chosen |
Each event is notified only once. For example, we don't send the same failed post over and over on every check. The low-credit notice is sent just once, on the day the balance falls below the value set in the company's settings. You can change the value in "Settings," and it is 50 if you haven't set one.
You can uncheck any event, so you can choose things like "I always want to know about failures, but I check approvals on Home so I don't need those." The approval flow itself is explained in The Approval Flow, and how winners are chosen in Campaigns.
Email: each person chooses from three ways
How email is received is decided by each member individually. Admins don't decide it for everyone.
- Instant: every 5 minutes, new notices are bundled into one email
- Daily digest: around 8 a.m. Japan time, one email with notices since the previous day
- Don't receive: no email is sent
People who haven't chosen start with the daily digest. This keeps you from getting an email for every daily draft. Change it to fit your role: someone who handles urgent tasks can use "Instant," while an admin who only needs to look a few times a week can use the digest.
Newly invited members don't receive a bundle of notices from before they joined. They get only what happens after they joined. Even people with the Viewer role can change how they receive notices. For differences between roles, see Members and Roles.

The text of an email is written in the language of the recipient's screen. People on an English screen get English and people on Japanese get Japanese.
Send to your company's Slack
If your company communicates in Slack, notices can go to a Slack channel as well. Paste a Slack Incoming Webhook URL and choose how to deliver and which events to send. When you press "Save and send a test," a test message arrives in that channel, so you can confirm on the spot that you connected it correctly.
The Slack setting is one per company, and only admins can change it. Editors and viewers can only see whether it is connected. Slack notifications are available on the Team plan and above (pricing). The text sent to the channel is written in the company or brand's "Language for posts."

Deliver to your browser too
Press "Get notifications in this browser" in a browser on your computer or phone, and notices also arrive as browser notifications. Click one and the screen for that post or reply opens. Events are chosen the same way as for email, and delivery is instant. Even if you set email to "Don't receive," notices still reach the browser.
One person can register up to 20 browsers, so you can separate a work PC, a home PC and a phone. On iPhone and iPad, add the SNS TOWN page to your Home Screen and open it from there to receive them. If notifications are turned off in the browser's settings, the screen tells you, so allow notifications in the site settings and press the button again.
The content of a notice is encrypted before it is handed to the browser vendor's delivery system, so nobody can read it along the way.
Look back at notices any time
Whether or not they were delivered, notices stay as a list on the company or brand's "Notifications" screen. Ones you haven't seen yet are in bold. Home also shows the newest few in the Notifications panel of the dashboard.

If you belong to several companies or brands, the company switcher in the header shows the number of unread notices in your other companies and brands. You notice even when approvals are piling up in a company you don't currently have open. For how to split companies and brands, see Keeping Companies and Brands Separate.
How to use it
- Open "Notifications" from the company or brand menu
- Under "My email notifications," choose how you want them delivered and which events to be told about, then save
- If needed, press "Get notifications in this browser" in your browser and confirm it works with "Send a test"
- Admins paste the Webhook URL under "Company Slack" and press "Save and send a test"

Frequently asked questions
Won't I get a flood of emails every day?
People who haven't chosen start with a once-a-day digest. Even with Instant, notices that occur within the 5-minute check are bundled into one email. You can uncheck any events you don't need.
Can an admin decide how everyone receives email?
No. Each person decides their own email setting. For notices the company needs everyone to see, we recommend an admin sending them to the company's Slack.
Which plans can use Slack notifications?
Team and above. On lower plans, the Slack section of the Notifications screen shows a note about the plan. Email and browser notifications work on every plan.
Can I get notifications on my phone?
On Android, press "Get notifications in this browser" in the browser and they arrive. On iPhone and iPad, add the SNS TOWN page to your Home Screen and open it from there to receive them.
I'd like to be told when a post goes out too
Current notifications are limited to events that need a person. You can check posts that went out in the Posted panel on Home and on the calendar.
How long can I see old notices?
They stay as a list on the Notifications screen and you can open them any time. Click a notice to go to the screen for that post or reply.
