Social Media for Schools and Classes: Show the Classroom to People Considering Enrolling

People choosing a school or class want to know the atmosphere and the teacher's personality before they enroll. Social media can show that, but writing text between lessons every time is hard. In SNS TOWN you set posting slots like a class timetable and send routine notices, such as cancellations and trial lessons, from templates.

What tends to go wrong with school social media

The common pattern is that posts increase only during enrollment season and stop the rest of the year. If you rush to post for the spring or summer intake after posting nothing for months, visitors can't see what the classroom is like day to day.

Next, writing announcement text every time. Cancellations, make-up lessons, recitals and trial lesson sign-ups are all things you announce regularly, yet each time the text is written from scratch. Writing styles vary by teacher and important details get left out.

Then there is how you handle student photos. Photos of lessons and recitals convey the atmosphere best, but photos showing a child's face need the parents' consent.

What to post

People choosing a class want to know what the lessons are like and whether they can keep going.

TypeExample post topics
LessonsWhat we worked on this week, teaching materials, where students stumble and how we teach it
TeachersIntroductions, why they chose teaching, their strengths
ConvenienceTimetable, how make-up lessons work, parking for drop-off, the route to the classroom
ProgressRecitals and competitions (with consent), exam dates
KnowledgePractice you can do at home, how to plan study, seasonal study tips

Posting about your weekly lessons steadily is what works best during enrollment season. Visitors can scroll back through past posts and see what the classroom is normally like.

How to run it in SNS TOWN

Set posting slots like a class timetable

In your post cycle, place slots by weekday, such as "Monday 20:00 last week's lesson" and "Thursday 12:00 study tips". The AI prepares a draft for each slot, and it lines up under Awaiting approval by 15:00 two days before the publish date. Dividing themes by weekday keeps posts from tilting toward enrollment notices.

Send routine notices from templates

Notices with a fixed form, such as cancellations, make-up lessons and trial lesson sign-ups, work well as templates. Templates are shared within the company or brand, and picking one on the post screen inserts it at the cursor. Whichever teacher posts, dates and contact details are written the same way.

Ask students and parents with a poll

On X and Threads you can add a poll to a post, such as "Which piece should we play at the next recital?" (Compose screen). On X, polls have up to 4 options and a duration from 5 minutes to 7 days; on Threads the duration is 24 hours.

Schedule enrollment announcements ahead

Decide dates in advance in the calendar and schedule the enrollment announcements. For how many times to announce before enrollment, Social media for product launches and events is a useful reference.

Things to watch out for

Long-term contracts for cram schools, languages and computer classes fall under Japan's Specified Commercial Transactions Act

Contracts for cram schools, private tutoring, language schools and computer classes that run longer than two months and cost more than 50,000 yen count as "specified continuous services" under Japan's Act on Specified Commercial Transactions, and exaggerated advertising is prohibited (Consumer Affairs Agency of Japan: specified continuous services). When you announce exam results or improved grades, use the actual figures and avoid absolutes such as "grades will definitely go up". If you write this under "Things not to write" in the company profile, AI drafts will avoid it.

Get parental consent for student photos

Tell parents you will use a child's photo in a post and get their consent first. To share who has given consent among teachers, decide that only photos with consent go into the Library. Photos taken from an angle where faces can't be seen, or showing only hands, still convey the lesson.

Share testimonials truthfully too

When you share comments from students or parents, get their consent and post their words without rewording them.

Frequently asked questions

Can each teacher use SNS TOWN?

You can invite teachers as members. There are three roles: Admin, Editor and Viewer. Editors handle posting, and admins handle members and settings. The number of people you can invite depends on your plan (Pricing).

We have several classrooms

Either keep a separate company or brand for each classroom, or connect a separate account for each classroom within one company.

Can we take trial lesson sign-ups on social media?

SNS TOWN has no sign-up form. You use post text and auto replies to explain how to apply.

Can I show students' work?

Students put themselves into their work. It is safest to get consent from both the parent and the student and to share it without names. Also check, before adding it to the Library, that no name tag or name on a test paper appears in the photo.

Can seasonal posts be created automatically?

If you write seasonal topics in "Key messages", such as "March: spring course sign-ups" and "July: summer recital", the AI draft will include them. Delete topics once the time has passed.

There are periods when I want posting to stop, like summer vacation

Turn off "Active" in the post cycle and it stops, and no drafts are made while it is stopped. To stop already scheduled posts all at once, use Pause all scheduled posts.
