Character count works the same way as X
X counts one full-width character as 2, one half-width character as 1, and a URL as 23. SNS TOWN's composer shows the remaining count the same way; free accounts can write up to 280 and Premium accounts up to 25,000. Which applies is read from X when you connect and switched automatically.

X's recommendations are ranked not by the number of likes, but by the expectation of what kind of reaction a post will get. Posts that people want to send to others or reply to rise, while posts likely to get "Not interested" or a mute drop sharply. SNS TOWN stops writing that tends to rank lower in this system right before a post goes out. It targets URLs in the body, @mentions of people who don't follow you, two or more hashtags, requests for likes, wording that assumes a thread, and text too similar to recent posts.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to hand over my password?
No. When the account owner grants SNS TOWN permission on X's screen, only the key used for posting is passed over. You can revoke permission at any time from X's settings.
