Keep Photos, Videos and Files in the Library as Material for AI Drafts

The photos you could post, product documents and brochure PDFs are usually scattered across computers and phones. The SNS TOWN Library gathers them in one place for each company or brand, has AI read them, and turns them into material for drafts.

When material is scattered, posts all say the same thing

One reason social media posting stops is that the material you could write about isn't in view. The new product document is in the sales folder, in-store photos are on the manager's phone, and last year's brochure is in someone's email. The person in charge can't go hunting for these every time, so they end up writing only about what they can remember.

The Library is the place that gathers this material. Beyond letting people attach files to posts, the material becomes the source of facts when an AI draft writes the body, and a pool of candidates when the AI image feature picks a photo. The richer your Library, the wider the range of topics the AI can write about.

What you can store

The Library holds three types: documents, images and videos.

TypeFiles you can storeSize per fileWhat happens when AI reads it
DocumentPDF, text, Markdown, CSVUp to 20 MBCreates a title and a summary of facts you can use in posts (5 credits)
ImageJPEG, PNG, WebP, GIFUp to 5 MB (15 MB for GIF)Creates a title and a description of what is in the picture (1 credit)
VideoMP4, MOVUp to 50 MBNot read (you write the description)

AI doesn't read the contents of videos, so when you upload one you are required to write a description of what it shows. Without one, AI drafts can't pick that video.

The number of files and total storage depend on your plan: Personal 100 files and 1 GB, Team 500 files and 10 GB, Professional 2,000 files and 50 GB, and Enterprise 5,000 files and 200 GB. Plans are compared on the pricing page.

Have AI read it and use it as draft material

If "Have AI read" is checked when you upload a file (it is checked by default), AI reads the contents. For a document, it creates the file's title and a summary that extracts the facts usable in posts. For an image, it creates a title and a description of what is shown, and copies any text written in the image as it is.

What gets passed to AI drafts is this summary and description, not the file itself. The asset's detail page has a field called "Summary (this is what drafts use)" that people can rewrite. If the AI's reading missed the mark, or you want to add a name only your company uses, fix it here and it takes effect from the next draft.

Large documents use several credits depending on their size. There is a limit to how much can be read, so split documents that exceed it before uploading. To have a file read again, press "Have AI read again" on its detail page.

See how many times each was used, and in which posts

The Library list shows how many times each asset has been used. Open the detail page and the "Posts that used it" section lists the posts it was attached to. You can see right away when and in which post you used the same photo, which helps you avoid posting the same photo as last month. When AI picks a photo from the Library, it also prefers those used fewer times.

You can filter the list by type (document, image, video). Names can be changed on the detail page.

Drop it from the candidates, or delete it

Each asset has a "Use in drafts" checkbox. Uncheck it and the asset stays in the Library but is removed from the AI draft candidates. For photos of out-of-season products, photos whose permission period has expired, or internal documents, unchecking instead of deleting lets you bring them back later when you need them.

An asset attached to a post that hasn't gone out yet can't be deleted. If it were, the image would be missing when that post goes out. Remove it from the post first, or delete it after the post is published.

Images uploaded in the post composer just for that one post don't appear in the Library. Only material you use repeatedly stays there. How to think about putting customer-taken photos into the Library is covered in Handling UGC and Customer Posts.

How to use it

The Library is under "Material" in the sidebar. Choose a file, write a title and description if needed, check "Have AI read," and upload. The steps are in the guide Library.

If uploading photos one by one is tedious, connect a folder with Google Drive sync and photos and files you put in it enter the Library automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Can other companies see the files I upload?

No. The Library is separate for each company or brand, and only its members can use it.

Can I upload without having AI read it?

Yes. Uncheck "Have AI read" and no credits are used. In that case, write the title and description yourself so AI drafts can treat it as a candidate.

The summary the AI made is wrong

Rewrite the "Summary" on the detail page and save. The corrected summary is used from the next draft.

Can AI read videos?

No. You write the description of a video yourself. With a description, it becomes a candidate for AI drafts.

Can I choose from the Library when attaching to a post?

Yes. In the post composer or on a post's page, you can choose photos and videos from the Library. An image uploaded directly from your computer belongs only to that post and doesn't appear in the Library. For photos you use over and over, adding them to the Library first makes them easier to find.

One document covers several products

You can upload it as it is. When AI creates the summary, it picks out facts that look usable in posts. That said, a document split by product gives a more specific summary and makes it easier for AI drafts to cover one theme per post.

What happens when storage is full?

You can't upload new files. Delete assets you no longer use, or review your plan. Assets attached to posts that haven't gone out yet can't be deleted.
