The hassle of finding an image is what stops posts
You can write the text, but you can't find a suitable image, so you give up on posting. People who handle social media on top of other jobs often tell us this. The photos you have taken are scattered across your phone and computer, and you can't tell which ones you haven't used yet. Searching stock photo sites leaves you with pictures you feel you have seen before.
SNS TOWN's AI images handle this "searching" and "choosing" at the draft stage. When it writes the text, the AI draft also judges whether the post needs an image, and if so, whether the photos you already have will do. The person in charge only has to read a draft with the text and image together, and approve it.
AI decides among three options based on the content
When AI writes a draft, it picks one of these three for the image.
| Option | When it is chosen | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Pick from the Library | A photo or video you have added fits the content | No credits for the image |
| Draw a new one | No suitable photo, and a picture helps get the message across | 4 per image |
| None | The content works with text alone | None used |
When picking from the Library, it avoids reusing the same photo and prefers the ones used least often. This makes it unlikely that the same storefront photo shows up every time. A short note for the approver is attached to the draft, saying which photo was chosen and why this theme and image were picked.
You can also set these yourself instead of leaving them to AI. For each slot in a post cycle, or in the "Write with AI" section of the post-creation screen, set images and videos to "AI chooses", "From Library", "Generate a new image" or "None". For example, a slot where you always want a product photo can be "From Library", a slot for seasonal topics can be "AI chooses", and a slot for announcements only can be "None".
Rules for drawn images
New images that AI draws are natural, photo-like scenes. Images contain no text, no logos and no close-ups of people's faces. Text in images is hard to read and prone to typos, and showing the face of someone who doesn't exist on an official account invites misunderstanding. The AI draws to fit the region implied by your company profile, so a Japanese company's image doesn't look out of place as a Japanese scene.
Images are landscape, 1536 x 1024 pixels. The instruction used to draw each one is kept with the post, which helps if you want to redraw in the same direction later. Drawing an image uses 4 credits. If you don't have enough credits, the draft is created without an image and the reason is added to the post. If drawing fails, the credits are returned. Pricing overall is summarized on the pricing page.
Swap as often as you like before it goes out
If the image on a draft doesn't fit, swap it on the post's page. In the "Generate a new image" field, write what image you want, and click to redraw from that instruction. You can also replace it with a Library photo or an image from your computer. The steps are in the help guide Rewrite with AI and Regenerate an Image.
Only posts that haven't reached their publish time can be swapped. Once the time has passed, the text, time and image can't be changed. Even after approval, you can swap before it goes out.
The better your Library, the better the selection
When AI picks a Library photo, it doesn't look at the photo itself. It looks at the photo's name and its description of what is in it. If you have the AI read a photo when you add it to the Library, a description of what's in it is added automatically. People can edit that description, so adding words only your company would know, such as "November-only chestnut Danish", raises the chance of choosing the right photo.
If you turn off "Use in drafts" for a photo, it is removed from the AI's candidates. It's a good idea to turn it off for products whose season has ended and photos whose usage permission has expired. How to use the Library is on the Library page, and how to collect photos automatically is explained on the Google Drive integration page.
Frequently asked questions
Can a drawn image include a shop name or a price?
No. AI images are set to contain no text or logos. Put the shop name or price in the post text, or make an image with text yourself, add it to the Library and use that.
Can I redraw an image as many times as I want?
Yes, as long as the publish time hasn't passed. Each drawing uses 4 credits. If drawing fails, the credits are returned.
Can I use this if my Library has no photos?
Yes. If the Library is empty, the AI chooses between "draw a new one" and "none". If you have many posts that need real photos, adding a few first widens what it can choose from.
The photo AI picked is one I don't want to publish
On the post's page, swap it for a different photo. If you don't want that photo used in the future, turn off "Use in drafts" for it in the Library.
Does AI pick videos too?
Videos in the Library are also candidates if they have a description. AI does not create new videos.
Can I use this for Instagram posts?
Yes. Instagram posts can't go out without an image or video, so make Instagram posts with an image. A draft without an image is stopped by the pre-publish check.
